2018 Grant Awards

At their Spring 2018 meeting the Trustees of Virginia House Settlement considered all applications for funding and decided to award nearly £25,000 in grants to a total of 19 community organisations working in Plymouth. Support is being given to the elderly, the young, the deaf, those with learning difficulties and people facing personal crisis.

Projects being supported include the funding of Plymouth Age Concern for financial assessments to support older people who may not be receiving all their benefits,  purchase of computer equipment to support the search for jobs operated by the Shekinah Mission, purchase of equipment for Barne Barton Junior Football Club, part funding of a Arts and Crafts Group Tutor for the mentally and physically disabled run by the Oasis Project and  funding of counselling for sexual abuse victims provided by Pregnancy Crisis Care.
